PROPAGATIONsolver

Node pack to help beginners or those who want to save time to achieve complex propagation effects. There are 5 propagation creation nodes including one without the use of a solver. A "Post Process" node to obtain results different from our original propagation effect. Finally, 2 utility nodes to further accelerate your propagation effect workflow, also quite useful in your workflow in general.

Node Set :

AT Growth by Distance along Geometry : Creates a fast and flexible propagation effect without the use of a solver. The variations of propagations are ordered by a deformation of the original geometry (by a noise or other), which is editable by clicking inside the node.


AT Growth by Attribute Transfert : Propagation solver which will use the closest points between them to propagate, several parameters are available on manipulating the speed of the propagation. You can enter the node to create or modify your noise (The noise should preferably be animated, either by offset or by being of 4 dimensions).


AT Growth by PcFind : Create source points and source transmitters that you can easily control to start propagation. The propagation is steered by modifying or creating your own noise inside the node.


AT Growth by Point Cloud : Propagation solver from geometry and emission points (that you can create manually or more precisely with the AT Emit). The points can change over time, the source is updated at each frame in the solver. Same principle as the other noises, the variation of propagation is driven by an editable or changeable noise in the node.


AT Neighbour Growth : Extremely simple but quite fast propagation solver. Evolution is based on the search for the closest point to attach to the same geometry.

AT Growth Post Process : Allows a more in-depth treatment of the propagation attributes generated by a solver.

- Edge: compute the contour of the propagations attribute

- Custage: is a solver which adds, to each image, a value to be defined (Custage Add Intensity), when it detects that the propagation attribute exceeds a certain value (by default .01).

The value can be normalized in 0-1 then be visualized, interesting for softer propagation effects.


AT Emit : Extremely simple node which allows to generate points in a precise way, asking to generate a certain number of unique points in a time interval.

For example if we ask to generate 4 points between 1 and 100 frames, then the emitter will create 1 point which will change positions every 25 frames.

This node will surely be more complete later, with other modes, etc.


AT Attribute Normalize : Utility which will allow you to normalize the attributes in float, vector, vector4.

for example a float attribute having values oscillating between .0005 and 150.87, you will be remapping between 0 and 1;
